Classic Winter Porridge

This Classic Winter Porridge is perfect on a chilly morning. It is quick and easy to make top it off with some fresh seasonal fruit (I used strawberries), local macadamias, a drizzle of honey, and some hemp seeds. Winter mornings just got a whole lot warmer! ✨

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Rolled oats
  • 2 Cups Full cream jersey milk, (or preferred milk)
  • Honey
  • Hemp seeds
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Macadamias

Method

  • 1)

    Grab a saucepan and whack on low heat.

  • 2)

    Add one cup of rolled oats and two cups of your preferred milk. I’m using full cream jersey milk. Let that come up to the simmer. 

  • 3)

    While the oats are cooking, prep the strawberries by slicing and roughly chop the macadamia nuts.

  • 4)

    Keep checking the oats and give them a stir to ensure they don’t burn. Once they have thickened approximately 10-15 minutes you can plate up. You want the oats to be thick and silky. 

  • 5)

    Grab bowls and serve the oats out. Top with hemp seeds, macadamia nuts, honey and your seasonal fruit.
