The perfect weekend to me is popping down to my local farmers market for some inspiration, swinging by @danmurphys to pick up some whiskey to whip up a few cocktails, whacking on some good tunes and burning a stick of my favourite incense while I cook up a feed and whip up some cocktails. Today I’m showing you how to make a whiskey sour and encourage you guys to make you own version, you could use berries, make syrups with fruits, use whatever takes your fancy just have some fun with it. I made mine with some finger limes and I found they were banging.

- Serves: 2 Drinks
Ingredients
- 120ml Monkey Shoulder Whiskey
- 60ml Lemon juice
- 30ml Honey syrup , (equal parts honey and hot water)
- 1 Egg white
- Finger Limes, (Optional, play around with whatever ingredients take your fancy)
Method
- 1)
Make the honey syrup by mixing equal parts honey and hot water to dissolve the honey. I usually make a decent batch and keep it in the fridge so I can make a batch of cocktails for friends.
- 2)
Add to the cocktail shaker WITHOUT ice 120ml Monkey Should Whiskey, 60ml lemon juice, 30ml honey syrup, one egg white and the finger lime. Shake until nice and foamy.
- 3)
Add a heap of ice to the shaker until it is full. Shake to chill the cocktail and pour into your favourite glasses with some of the ice. Top with more of that finger lime and add a little to the side for garnish.
