Ingredients
- White fleshed fish, we used 8 small fillets of whiting
- Heinz Seriously Good Creamy Tartare
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- 1 small handful Dill
- 4 Brioche buns , (or any bread roll)
- The dodgiest, orange-ist American style cheese you can find
- 1 Avocado
- 1 Lemon
- 1/3 Iceberg lettuce
- 1 packet Panko crumbs
- 2 Eggs
- 1 L Grape seed oil
- Salt
Method
- 1)
Get all your fillings prepped by slicing an avo, separating your cheese, chopping your dill and halving your buns. Set aside on a prep plate.
- 2)
Place Panko crumbs in one bowl and whisk two eggs into another bowl.
- 3)
Pick and finely chop leaves from rosemary and thyme then add and mix through the Panko crumbs.
- 4)
Zest the rest of your lemon into the Panko crumbs and mix through.
- 5)
Dip fish into the eggs, drip the excess off. Then put into Panko crumbs and make sure you press the coating in.
- 6)
Put grapeseed oil in pot and bring up to 180C (either with thermometer or by checking when the crumbs bubble away).
- 7)
Put another pan on a medium to high heat and toast the buns in it (ours took approx 90 secs each).
- 8)
Once oil to temp, pop filets in (don’t overcrowd the pan).
- 9)
Once nice and golden and crispy, remove from pan and place on paper towel. (Note: if you have larger filets that are not completely covered by oil you will need to flip them) – ours took a couple of minutes.
- 10)
As you remove from the pan onto paper towel, sprinkle with salt and place slices of cheese on top.
- 11)
Once all the fish is cooked, time to assemble!
- 12)
Pop a good dollop of Heinz Creamy Tartate on the lid and bottom of bun. Pop the lettuce on the bottom, followed by the fish. Squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of salt and dill over fish. Pop avocado on top! Pop the lid back on and devour!!
