Ingredients

  • Water
  • 4 Tbsp Vinegar
  • Egg

Method

  • 1)

    Grab a deep pot and fill with water, add in four tablespoons of vinegar to drop the PH of the water.

  • 2)

    Crack your egg on the side of the pot and slowly drop into the water – Don’t stir the water.

  • 3)

    A poached egg will continue to cook once you have removed the egg from the water using a slotted spoon. So you want them to be slightly undercooked if you like a soft egg.

  • 4)

    To cut the tail off, use the slotted spoon to remove it. This will give you the perfect cafe poached egg.
