Chicken Bone Broth

Amazing to use as a stock or to warm up and drink on its own, especially coming into the cooler months!

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole chicken carcass
  • Olive oil
  • Salt, (we used rosemary salt* notes)
  • 8 Litres Filtered water
  • Vegetables or vegetable scraps

Method

  • 1)

    Pre-heat oven to 180C

  • 2)

    Drizzle olive oil and salt over the chicken carcass.

  • 3)

    Place in oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

  • 4)

    Remove from oven and put into a large pot with vegetables..

  • 5)

    Cover chicken with filtered water and allow to simmer on stove top for 8 – 12 hours.

  • 6)

    Separate liquid from solids and store!

Notes

To make rosemary salt – blitz up rosemary and had to salt.
