Glazed Christmas Ham

This recipe is super straight forward and an absolute crowd pleaser! If you show up to Christmas Day with this bad boy, everyone will treat you like Santa!!

Ingredients

  • 5 kg Ham
  • Cloves
  • 370 g Marmalade
  • 3 Oranges
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 2 sprigs Rosemary
  • Black pepper

Method

  • 1)

    Preheat oven to 200C.

    Pull the skin off, should come away quite easily. Use fingers to separate skin from the fat so you don’t lose all the fat.

    Cut one inch thick diagonal pattern into fat.

  • 4)

    Cut one inch thick diagonal pattern into fat.

    Put marmalade, zest and juice of oranges, honey, rosemary leaves and a few cracks of pepper into a pot.

    Put on stove, bring to boil and cook for 5 mins.

  • 7)

    Put some baking paper under ham and put into baking dish.

  • 8)

    Pour or brush marmalade mixture over ham, leave some free to baste ham.

  • 9)

    Put in oven for 40 minutes, we basted at the 10 and 20 min mark.

    After 40 mins, remove from oven and spoon/brush liquid from bottom of tin over the ham.

  • 11)

    Leave ham to rest for at least 20 mins before cutting into it.
